Oh i remember that system! It checked against every essay fed into that system too they used them in my high school. I got flagged for plagerism once from a part of my essay I was quoting the primary source before analyzing it lol.

I had professors in college (2023 grad) that would run our essays through an ai program to catch plagiarism/ai writing. if it was above a certain percentage they would make us rework it. But the issue is that this is a flawed system, humans can only write certain thoughts in so many different ways, I would be flagged for plagiarizing some ones essay from a college across the country from 2010, that I would have absolutely no way of accessing to plagiarize from. It was incredibly frustrating having to rewrite my own work because my professors couldn’t fathom the computer being wrong.
