The therapy thing is so real. I’ve been through a couple therapists and my last one wasn’t bad, I just didn’t feel like they were holding me accountable or any progress was happening

lol I had the same concerns with the therapist I was seeing and when I voiced that I wanted to be more active and less vent-y she told me I needed to go to an inpatient facility for alcoholics…when I’m sober and have not had any big issues with that (my stuff is more depression/PTSD)… now I’m mad at myself for wasting so much time with her. I wish I was able to have a more positive mindset about it like Jarvis does!

My go to for falling asleep vids is long interviews/news in languages I don’t speak. Atm mostly Czech Never a clue what they’re talking about but I think the format and tone is just familiar enough that my sleepy brain doesn’t care? Done a real number on my recommendations

I need to say I switched to a Black woman therapist (i’m a Black woman) a few years ago after going to white women therapists only, and it changed my life! it’s nice to be able to say something about feeling like certain experiences are racialized and having someone respond with compassion from a place of understanding!!
