I have been restraining myself from doing it, but I love it. I love being indulgent and having them interact in the least natural way possible.
There are a dozen different ways to have them say this that would make more sense to a reader, but who cares about that when you can have Oz call himself a wretch?
I'm personally obsessed with any form of worshipper and god metaphors. I absolutely eat it up, it's great. The idea of being so deeply enamored with someone that the very notion of exploring their body is like a form of spiritual worship is so, so fun. It shows up in my writing more often than I'd like to admit haha
I'm still trying to find the right dynamic between these two. It's not the most healthy relationship in the world (there's a bit of co-dependency, to say the least). I'm trying to figure out how much I want to push certain aspects. How much indifference and selfishness does Vix show? How little does Oz care for Vix's boundaries in the face of what he wants? They're both fellows who haven't pursued emotionally intimate relationships. Ever. So there's a lot of growing pains.
In a way, Vix's firm insistence on only pursuing things for their own benefit helps. Oz lacks any awareness of boundaries and why he'd ever need to respect them. Vix is not going to tolerate anything that wouldn't bring them pleasure. As a result, they are very vocal whenever Oz oversteps and so Oz learns bit by bit what it means to respect someone because you love them and want to see them comfortable and happy.
And of course, Oz doesn't let Vix continuously deflect and put up a facade. He knows how contrary Vix's words are to their feelings and he won't let Vix forget that he knows. There are so many ways for Vix to push Oz away if they wanted to. They can be much, much crueler with what they say, but they toe the line on being an utter brat and a pathetically fragile person with a soft heart.
Anyways, my next NSFW piece with them will just be absolutely mindless fucking, pure indulgence because I haven't drawn Oz's tentacle dicks in a while and I need an excuse to figure out how they work.

Snoft colors for snoft guys..<3 I AM having a load of fun writing the most incoherent dialogue and honestly it may end up in the actual webcomic itself LOL Since there isn't an editor I have to go through, no one can curb my insane choice of dialogue between characters!!!!!! And same haha, I like to explore these sorts of dynamics since it's a hell of a lot safer to indulge in my own personal fiction than anywhere else. Glad to hear someone else has the same love of the god complex/worshipper dynamic haha!

oh this is so cute... i love the colours here too theyre very Snoft... personally i actually have so much trouble writing dialogue that isn't super direct/to the point, but i think flourish-y dialogue can be super fun! especially with characters who are either very pretentious or very thoughtful, or in moments where characters are paying more attention to what they're saying. if you enjoy writing that type of stuff i don't think it hurts at all to indulge in it! you're having fun! toxic love dynamics are some of my fav ship dynamics!! I'm especially a fan of co-dependent and somewhat lopsided relationships, like god complex/worships at your feet or literally just a regular guy/powerful person who is a simp ships. they're soooo fun, imo especially when the structural power imbalance is balanced by the relationship dynamic (e.g. mafia boss who would die if they didnt have their partner/regular person who loves their partner but could live without them). i think yuuri and viktor from yoi is a healthy example of the dynamic I'm describing. this is all to say owo im hype !! cant wait to see his tentacles again too 🫣🤭
