I hope you all had a good Halloween! In my country, we don’t really celebrate Halloween, although we do sometimes get trick-or-treaters (and sometimes, they even bother to wear costumes!). Yet, I’ve always enjoyed that holiday, as an enthusiast of all things scary. A such, I was working on a special artwork for the occasion, but wasn’t able to post it on time for the actual day. So, I decided I’d make sure to finish it for the build drop, and made it something more than just “Halloween Art”, giving us a chance to peer into his past. I hope you’ll all like it!
As for the update itself, I have to admit, we’re both extra wiped this month. Some of you might not be aware, but both Dzahn and I also work on Homecoming ~Morenatsu Revisited~. and we released a pretty major update for it on the 15th of last month. Let me tell you, working on updating two visual novels at the same time is just as exhausting as it might sound. Still, while a challenge, I think Homecoming’s update didn’t impact the quality of this month’s update for Santa Lucia, and I’m really proud of that.
I was able to prepare two sprites (still a work in progress, however) for two characters present in Bryan’s route: say hello to both Thomas the rabbit, Blake’s right hand, and Kane the wolf, the resident geek of the fraternity (although, you might be surprised by his appearance, hehe).
Anyway, I hope you guys will enjoy what we’ve cooked up this month. In my opinion, it’s a pretty important update story-wise, at it sets the stage for what’s coming next.

Thanks for the kind words! We're excited we're finally able to get to the content that gives more context as to why Bryan is the way he is. As for our work with Homecoming, don't worry too much about it. We're still taking the approach of "we work on it when we have time". It functions more or less as a palette cleanser for Dev and I right now, hehe...

If you're on Android, you'd have to find an app to browse your phone's files, find the save data for Santa Lucia, and either copy them into a zip you'd place anywhere else (your computer, even), and you'd just have to place them back whenever something happens to the one in the game's folder.
So how do I back up my save data

We're planning additions to the chapter system to catch up quickly, as we've seen multiple reports of people losing their save data. We're sorry that happened to you, and would recommend backing up the save data in the future to be safe. We have an idea of what caused it, but we can't completely guarantee it'll never happen again as the game is still constantly being developed!
So I decided to play the update and now all my save data is gone..what action should I take?

Nice update- I really appreciate that you're writing Bryan to be a more complex character than I previously pinged him as. I naturally gravitated towards Nate, but I really appreciated the video call scene with Bryan (intentionally vague here to avoid spoilers), which added a lot more depth to him. Looking forward to seeing where this goes. Also, please don't run yourselves into the ground developing two games concurrently. I really don't want to see a burnout situation like what happened to the Repeat visual novel- enjoying both projects immensely and really don't want you guys to feel constantly stressed and crunched. From what others have discussed on our discord server, Android users need to fully uninstall the previous version of the game before installing build 25.
