🕑 Added 2018-08-24 16:11:03 +0000 UTC I know I've been a little quiet this month... Been on a mad-scientist editing binge. The 2018 footage has me super inspired and I'm hoping to churn out a 3rd video this month.THE NEXT VIDEO is going to showcase more of the crazy lightning barrage I teased in the last video. The tree strike was the highlight, but there were many, many more incredible strikes caught on camera during this vibrant 7 hour light show.
WE'RE GOING TO TARANTINO THIS ONE. The next day I work backwards to the scene of the strike to examine the tree and look for a fulgurite. It wasn't easy finding the location (For some reason the slug trail on my GPS was turned off), but I eventually did and along the journey, we visit other previous day's lightning shooting locations and cross paths with snakes, a road runner, mud AND a Port-o-Potty from Space!
Right now I've got the choice cuts cut down to about 35 minutes on the sequence timeline. Got a ton of little decisions to make. Hopefully we'll cut this sucker down to around 12 minutes of pure adventure and eye candy and upload it next week.
