🕑 Added 2019-07-04 01:08:35 +0000 UTCIt's looking like a 20% chance of lightning showers, a 75% chance of whale sharks, and a 100% chance of pyramids this holiday weekend in the Yucatan. We are scoping out a tiny island off the coast of Cancun called Isla Mujeres for 2 days, then driving to Chichen Itza for a day and night. The stage is set for adventure. Totally touristy. We were able to dodge em though. Chitchen Itza blew my mind. We hopped on the 5am-8am tour on a Monday. Got ample lone time with the ruins.

love Chitchen Itza...we had a fabulous tour guide there....I found Isla Mujeres to be kinda tourista...but pretty on the beach
