Monsoon Update
🕑 Added 2021-08-17 22:23:55 +0000 UTCFor 13 days, storms fired early, persisting through the magic hour and after sunset. It then took me on average a couple hours to dump the footage, hit the sack, and then hit repeat.
The colors at times were pretty darn spectacular...
All of the above were from my last day in Lordsburg New Mexico. I didn't get to spend much time in Arizona this round as I was stationed in New Mexico for a BBC documentary on lightning... Coming soon to screen near you. Not sure how much more I'm encouraged to say about that, but stay tuned.
I arrived back in Houston Monday to fantastic daily Seabreeze CG blitzkriegs. With all that, I've got a mountain of footage to sift through and hope to have some sneak peeks soon. Giveaways of music and photos plus a live chat are on the top of the to-do list.
I wanted to send an extra special, super duper burrito supreme THANK YOU to all you guys for supporting me while I disappeared off to a dreamy electric planet. It's gonna take me some time, but I can't wait to show you the goodies.

Good. What can they expect? I lived through Opal in 95’ and it was not pleasant but we were on the south side of Atlanta on high ground in a cement block house. We lost one large tree and that was all but it was a very long, very loud night. I remember thinking that if this was a tropical storm more than a 100 miles inland, I sure didn’t want to ride a full on hurricane out. There were a few hurricane force gusts recorded north of Atlanta that night. Irma came over us but was weakening as it passed. We had some 50 mph gusts and lost some small trees and had a lot of rain but once again, we moved but farther south of that nasty pit called Atlanta on high ground. Trees and spin ups are the dangers for us and it’s fairly rare. None of us are familiar with low lying ground. 3 of the kids are Georgia kids born and raised and one is from Washington State so this is definitely going to be a new experience for them. As a weather geek & mom I’m both jealous and petrified…. Petrified usually wins out in me though.
