Rather than discreet supercells and their beautiful danger dangles, this outlook suggests tornado potential in embedded in messy surging squall lines. Generally these QLCS tornadoes (Quasi Linear Convective System) are random and transient EFO-1s and rarely stronger than EF2.
Rather than scampering through scary strong winds all day seeking random mesovortices, I think I’m going to target lightning and dung beetles in the tail end of the line where action might be a little slower for a tripod set up.
Here is the HRRR model and NamNest model outlooks for 6-7pm

Amazingly, the storms went around Omaha. We had some wind - maybe 30-35 mph, but no damage. My kids in Sioux City, IA had very little damage as well.

Severe Thunderstorm Warnings just west of Omaha with strong line of straight line winds 70-80 mph. Could be near my house in 10-15 min. Also Tornado Warning roughly 60 miles northwest of Omaha.

It tried to snow here last night so cold is gonna meet hot...lol 51 here and 91 at my niece's in Illinois...it's booming around the Gold Hills and Devil's Tower. That can be fun...dang, the radar and and the almost triple point dry line weirdness between Casper and Pierre...I love playing up there. I need out of my cage!
