April 20 TX lais·sez-faire chase & Yesterday
🕑 Added 2023-04-20 16:22:18 +0000 UTCLooks like a line of storms will push through Texas tonight. Current plan is to be well through DFW before 5PM traffic peaks and see what's what then.
YESTERDAY early afternoon I stopped in Wichita Kansas and deeply pondered driving 2.5 hours back to OKC for the wild tornado potential there. Regardless, the side-line show in Kansas was a ton of fun. Here are some sneak peek raw video grabs from last night...

I love the shot of the nightime tornado while driving down mainstream. This last tornado appeared significant as it creeped into the Flint Hills of Kansas. I suspect lots of spiders and lizards were disturbed as it flipped over some sizable stones.

The speeding ticket I got in the middle of nowhere Kansas yesterday (81 in a 65) will cost $275. The windshield $130. The two nights at the cheaper Hamptons $120 each plus a few tanks of gas made this trip quite expensive, BUT, I have you guys to keep this fun ship sailing. Thanks again and again for all you do.

A few good bolts. Back home in Houston. Nighty night.

Hank, I was wondering: You think you could do a video about you chicken scratch? What do you do and how do you fill out a map?

There’s som good bolts in here. I’m not chasing the tornado warnings. Kicking it behind the storm near Wacko.

Sorry about the windshield and ticket, but you got some nice captures. West seem right TX16 to I35 San Saba back to the east seems like a good play. Temps a starting to spike around 88-90 and things are really popping. Good luck chasers

Congrats! Looks awesome! (That last tornado picture looks like one of your 2012 captures, just without the lighting bolt.)
