June 12 Target - Deep in the heart of TX
🕑 Added 2023-06-12 15:58:03 +0000 UTCToday I’m leaving the Colorado / New Mexico upslope target for the big CAPE / 5% tornado risk near Abilene TX. Each target has its plusses and many minuses regarding tornado photography, so flip a coin and enjoy.
Yesterday’s storms in CO to NM to TX had very little lightning activity and parameters appear even lessor today, but who knows. The Abilene storms (if they initiate) should be accompanied by a light show. And then there’s the hail…
Good luck open country ramblers!

Know things can still change, but not feeling the Abilene vibe today. Temps and clouds from yesterday event messing with everything. The NM play would be in 'No Roads' area north of Santa Rosa, Thinking I35 split looks better for tomorrow, but who knows. Great light show in the metro mess last night.

Good luck Hank! Remember - everything is bigger in Texas . . . hopefully not the hail.
