Genesis 9: First impressions
🕑 Added 2022-10-22 08:44:14 +0000 UTC Once in a while the base for all characters in DAZ Studio, custom or otherwise, changes its base/materials/scripts. After almost 5 years they have introduced Genesis 9 which released a couple of days ago, and with it came the first available model - Victoria 9. Doing some test renders yesterday I've managed to take these screenshots: while I'm blown away by the skin detail, I must say that this new generation seems to be extremely power hungry, but those are just some initial thoughts. While I'd rather wait for them to release plenty of new content before jumping into the whole next-gen experience, I would love to hear your thoughts. How do you like these test renders? Yeah, you're right Sonic. The first model released is a ginger girl (hence the freckles) but honestly I don't mind them... actually, they make the foot look even more real ^~^

Certainly so! Keep in mind tho, you should consider upgrading your GPU as well - running these tests, naked Gen 9 took almost 10GB of VRAM 😛

I love the details on the skin, though I would prefer it to look a bit more smooth, without those freckles. I imagine this could be very taxing on a PC to render pictures with such detailed feet.
