Street Cultivation 2: Chapters 4-5

We have a couple of larger chapters this week. One thing I like about a less frequent schedule is that it's easier to make the chapters whatever size I think they should be. Though I'm writing with the final book in mind, not per update, this week's chapters happen to go together well, introducing a couple new elements.

Oh, interesting! I can very much see how he's going to get out of his depth quickly on this one. I mean, ""so do whatever it takes to succeed." He interpreted as "That seemed to be trying to get them to work together." Which is exactly the opposite of what's about to happen. I suspect a job based around being the only guy in an area with the authority to find places with unregulated power and wealth leads to a hell of a lot of corruption, competition and general shenanigans. Good thing his strong point is not dying!
