It's very symbolic on a couple different levels.

Incidentally, that character will reappear in the upcoming book! Part of making the next conflict seem large is touching on a wide swath of the cast.

Nauda might often feel self conscious about her lack of soulcrafting speed over Theo and Fiyu, but slow and steady fits her build very well. Plus once bitten, twice shy. I wonder what her old recovery teacher is thinking about her progress, especially since they parted after her outburst. Is he proud ? Envious ? Or did it give him some enthusiasm for trying again ? It would be nice to see him again.

Huh, I was kinda expecting a more traditionally proportioned statue of her, but from the looks of it it'll probably be much more abstract by the end.
