I am from the US and live in the UK in the north and have heard people talk about this, so it is a thing up here anyway! Also I do find it fascinating that Christianity is kind of built into regular schools here though the society seems less outwardly religious and that in the US it’s usually completely separated from schools or institutions (though obviously not always) but society is much more religious
