Instead she's more about being friends. Peace and free love. She would try to seduce them and have them lower their guard, not put them on the defensive.

She was ambushed by the Prisoner and immediately got into a fight for survival. Also, she's changing her tune now that she's been captured. But otherwise you make a great point that is addressed in a few pages.

How cunning is Whisper outside investigation / hunting? In politics / social settings? The elves actions after their encounter with blood magic, "Heal this! Dick wad!", doesn't sync with "let's be friends". Plus the Prisoner has already been inside Crusher's head and Whisper knows this. Did she slip up? A momentary lapse of going to far because of pride / arrogance in her cunning?
