1. What happened to the Prisoner's former hounds and his allies (the Star Gods) fall into the territory of spoilers. 2. Yes. The part about loyalty and betrayal is purposefully ambiguous about whom his words really apply to. 3. Yes. Exactly. This is a story about loyalties, belief systems, racism, and friendship. The counterpoint examples to his beliefs are purposeful. I don't want to create a world with the ONE TRUE TRUTH. After all the world we live in has a variety of viewpoints with a large amount of bullshit, propaganda, innocence, and malice. I want my fiction's story to be surrounded by characters who are lost, confused, and flawed. That includes the main characters, who themselves are trying to figure things out.

Were all the hounds killed before the Prisoner was captured? If not and if I'm following this right. A counterpoint to the the Prisoner's point about loyalty is that there were probably hounds still alive after he was imprisoned and impaled on a throne with much more capability needed to free him. Without the magical compulsion to do so they instead left him rot for hundreds, or thousands? of years. Both the Prisoner's and Warden's allies left them to be forgotten after they were no longer needed. But. Whisper's last real act of free will was to surrender to the Warden in the hope to save her friends.

Not in the near future. I already have the circumstances of her becoming the Warden in mind, but for it to make it into the comic the story will have to be relevant to the current plot moment. Which is not the case.

Do you intend to give some deeper background to why she was made the warden? Other than leadership just wanting to get rid of her since she seemed to have fallen into depression and drinking after loosing her arm.
