Insight doesn't trust his motivations at all. In fact, Insight is the type to look at the ingredients of her drugs and is rightly skeptical.
I debated whether I should draw the mana tendrils for this part of the comic and thought it would cover up people. Let me know if you think I should include them again.

I think the tendrils would make the images to busy and distract from the characters

Or if you go back and touch up this scene's panels. Have them slowly fade out like the Prisoner was a little rusty at first with his hentai mana tendrils.
