The Turkey Wars

Attached is my Christmas offering - which is actually a belated Thanksgiving tale. It's also my first story written in the first person. It turned out to be far longer than intended - a slow-burner, you might say!
I'll have a bit more to say about this in the next couple of days. I may also make a tweak or two to the ending, which was slightly rushed. There's an author's note at the end too.
Also: assuming I get a chance, I will tomorrow post the first couple of pages for the next episode of The lady wot lunched. If not, it'll be Boxing Day!
In the meantime, I hope you all have a fabulous Christmas! And thank you so much for your support! 🎄

This is probably one of my favorite stories you have written so far

I wish I could say that it is! Sorry!

Very well written! Is "like an opera singer who swallowed a toad" a Leroux reference? Please, tell me it is!
