Great episode. Fascinated by how much I share in common with a Millennial pornstar.

Terrific podcast. Love your take on both Boogie Nights and Body Double. Wishful dreaming but maybe one day you'll get De Palma or Anderson. Also, maybe I'm seeing double but I could've sworn I saw you for a quick second for the Generation Wealth trailer (on my watch list). Maybe Lauren Greenfield on the podcast?

Loved Bretβs comments on Body Double, my favorite DePalma film. I got chills hearing the score and was immediately taken to the scene of Jake looking out over the beach club for the woman he was following in the mall. The weirdest thing about the movie to me is that Jake is such a loser but in the world of the movie heβs a βcool guy.β

Maybe the best of the recent crop! Really loving all the new stuff guys. Bret, have you had any desire to revisit some of the Anderson films you claim to be more cool on, like There Will Be Blood or, in particular, The Master?
Jason Petrofsky
Great episode!! Anderson is far and away my favorite filmmaker. Seen Boogie Nights dozens of times yet you still brought up some points on it that I hadn't fully considered. I'd listen to hours of rants against alarmist liberals to get one of these pods.
Dustin
The pairing of these movies with this interview is genius.
Michael
Best episodes of the season so far !!! Love both of those movies
Sebastian Mittelman
The first half was a fantastic analysis of both movies - I can't wait to read a whole book on them

That "I hope God forgives me for Boogie Nights" quote from Wahlberg is actually a sarcastic comment taken out of context
