It just dawned on me that what has me coming back more than the specific content is that Bret has successfully turned my youth into full blown nostalgia on par with decades I did not live in, and only pined for from Hollywood's presentation of it or even Norman Rockwell. Now the idea of magazines, skateboards, models who are actually objectively beautiful, and simply spending a few moments in the headspace of a time where the things you did might actually matter is becoming addictive.
