Reichsrevolver headed out
🕑 Added 2021-09-21 16:34:38 +0000 UTCOn it's way out for a movie set. Finished the conservation, fabricated a replacement for the missing/broken loading gate spring. Ammo is full length sized 44 mag, cut down to .960 inches. Using a .429 projectile, I have been able to cram in an impressive(?) 20 grains of 3F. These cases are unprimed and empty for shipment out to set. It cleaned up well, is in time and ready rock....6 times at least. Forget about reloading this thing in the thick of things.

I've encountered exactly one Reichsrevolver locally (San Joaquin Valley, California), and that one was at the small Burris Park Museum in Hanford where I volunteered to help catalog and display their firearms collection back in the early 1990s. This revolver had been disabled with concealed welds to prevent the action and cylinder from operating, so I've yet to discover personally how just stiff its action is.

Wait, if they are unprimed why is there a need for powder? Or was that just a test and these unprimed ones are empty?
