Sgt. Tibs

“Of course, it is perfectly logical!” the city lord roared. Lmao I loved this.

Forint

It's probably been over a century on earth by now.

Guri Linus

“The last time she’d expected a straight trip to her destination, that had ended up in a half flooded tunnel feeding into a cannibal farm so…”. This is true, but it might be even funnier to mention that she was in a half flooded tunnel fleeing from a Nechrearch. Sorry for the spelling

FuriousDee

This nation should have a better navy than Harrack does now which could be useful

JLM

So exciting, and undercover too! Secret agent Viv.

Caitlin

As always, I love it!! I do wonder, has Emeric been stranded on earth this whole time? What's the time difference like? Also, of course Viv s personality is going to leak out haha and omg her muscles! Ahh hahaha so good!

Jed Wolfgang

Wow, that was really good. It felt like it ended too quickly. Was that just because I was so excited?

Stephan B

A gentlebeing of culture, I see. Binglery is indeed afoot Edit: Yes I know it's the same author

Toni Pampliega

The Lord will love Brick. Or Roro. XD I loved when she threatened the Sheem mage with the magical stick. She can avoid being herself. Disguise or not. "Of course, it is perfectly logical!”. You are genius Mecanimus. LOL.

Karel Londin

"three days of this kind of exchanges with all the genuflexions and she would be able to crush watermelons between her thighs". I think with her stats, she can already. (She maybe thinks in her orig. world)

pelya

But it exploded anyway.

Denva

He didn't tell he anything. And she didn't tell him too. The warning she was talking about was not related to vism

Denva

They just killed the eggs which are the responsibility of the mother do defend. I don't think judgement is going to intervene. You have to understand he is against dragons being treated like slaves by mortals and the whole dragon raring. The mother dragon if it's her eggs, she can attack the humans but judgement won't see it as an unprovoked attack and will help if she fails maybe. I say maybe because judgement for all his kindness he is very hands off and survival of the fitest

Emily Gurnavage

I swear he *told* her to if she ever had to go there, didn't he? I feel like that was a conversation they had a while back for some reason. I could he misremembering or confusing stories though.

Cormac

"three days of this kind of exchanges with all the genuflexions and she would be able to crush watermelons between her thighs". Dar wishes that were the case.

Emily Gurnavage

If she wipes out the entire shoreline she wont even be discovered! No witnesses.

Emily Gurnavage

The problem is "Fate". The real stuff that actually exists in this story. I do not believe Viv ever mentioned real benefits to allying with them, but she has little choice. A choice, yes, but hardly. Since she holds a Spark of Luck, is an Ascender, and a powerful Elemental - she is fairly sensitive to Fate even though its usually exclusive to dragons or highly specific paths. Viv felt a strong pull of Fate dragging her in that direction, and it was mentioned by several others. Lak-Tak. Arthur. That one other dragon. The one Goddess. I think thats all of em. I don't believe Viv technically knows WHY Fate wants her over there, but since she knows about the dragon problem and the war, its a good guess that thats where she needs to be. Could be wrong even, though. Anyway - sure, she COULD ignore Fate. But that did not go well for her back during the Octas stuff. She learned that ignoring the pull of Fate means she gets an even worse situation as a result of not interferring where the World wanted her to. So I guess even then, she doesn't need to ally with them. She could just go solve the dragon problem, see if she can reasonably stop the war from happening at scale, and peace out.

Emily Gurnavage

A ballista lol, not even any gunpowder, but bitches *do* also love heavy siege equipment which both can count as.

Raptor425

How Judgement would react to that kind of scenario totally slipped my mind somehow lol. STILL! I have a feeling the Sheemish did something dastardly to stir up the dragon.

Joshua Aarons

Lol

RageBone

I am really looking for Jaratalassi to find out she used his last name on her adventure. Someone looking for her could be like "Sir Iron Trap, may i see your daughter? We met briefly in Vizim, her name was Sai"

BurnNote

I'm just surprised she managed to mostly keep her cover. More, it's that the over guy blew his

Kor

You forgot the fish sauce. Not sure at which point it'll come up, but it will. Lots and lots of fish sauce.

Daemion

If a human nation killed (unborn) dragons without being provoked, then Judgement would have eradicated them.

Raptor425

City lord might not be anything too special so far but he's got good taste lol, competent buff girls ftw. Nice to see Viv having some fun on her "Lucky" misadventures as well. Edit: Also calling it now, the dragon is female and Sheem did a false flag operation to destroy her clutch of eggs to provoke her against the locals in order to soften them up/destroy them. Viv is going to discover this through lucky bullshit, Arthur is gonna help point the dragon in the right direction when the time is right, and then Viv will have an allied/subordinate nation on another continent and a dragon who is at least amenable to being talked to.

Andrew

Thank you!

Emily Gurnavage

To be a lil fair to Viv at the end - the war was *going* to happen. Everyone just seemed to be waiting for a convenient enough excuse so as not to be the instigator/"bad guy".

David Morrison

The start of another ripping yarn - yum!

Alexander Dupree

Why do you think everyone immediately started preparing for war, the second they heard she’s going on an adventure?

Alexander Dupree

I thought she was just going to attack them outright because even she knew they’d be burning before she left.

M. Lampi

I am sure there is a reason for thor decision, milord. ==> I am sure there is a reason for their decision, milord.

Venalitor

Loving this sneaky stuff. It's like a Binglery. . . just without the Bingle.

Jeanean

Ah, yes, the Bingle family. A wonderful callback. I wouldn't be surprised, (and it would be kinda awesome) if she came across one of them at some point.

Senko

I find it interesting this is the second time someone overstepping their legal boundaries has triggered am incident for Viv.

Jeanean

But she is supposed to be a Journeyman with great control but little reserves. Not a Master.

Senko

So my lord who shall we hire to deal with these invaders? The calimitous Bob slayer of Kingston or Sai the insane arcanist who is only third step because she spends too much time crushing infidels beneath her sandals to work on her magic properly.

Senko

Yes, yes you did.

Roombot

@BramBora that would be hilarious

Mantarok1205

Jolly good!

Roombot

Spark of luck going strong

BramBora

Instead, Viv might incidentally end up with a cover persona, that is also widely known, and which people will try to seek out. Next time Viv will have a choice between going as a legendary black empress or “incognito” as also legendary Sai

lenkite

Viv could have easily avoided suspicion if she just used [Telekinesis] for everything instead of being a [Muscle Head]. Use [Telekinesis] for picking up the bolt, use [Telekinesis] for loading the bolt, use [Telekinesis] for operating the crank and lever. She would have really looked like the picture of a [Master Arcanist] then.

Alexander Dupree

Omg I’m just gonna bask in the awesomeness of this chapter’s ending.

Sæþór

Thanks for the chapter! I was wondering though when we could get an updated map of the world?

lenkite

They are on the losing side since they are losing against an Ancient Dragon. They were winning and holding their independence against their far larger neighbours until the Dragon decided to annihilate their cities. The fact that they have survived long enough to ask for help is actually an indication that they are quite strong. Otherwise they would have fully extinct by now. Regarding the benefits gained - Viv needs a strongly allied nation that can traverse the seas and are filled with expert ship builders.

KnightRider007

Yeah, a whole TWO hours! Was expecting 45min or better.

Jake Lewis

I wish Viv would poon me *cough*

Arlen

The "it's perfectly logical!" By the city lord indicates that they are already guessing what this is about

Grumpy Cucumber

I was half expecting it this time before the morons started finding out

BurnNote

Well, they escalated slower than expected.

Adam Davies

Strong bingley vibes. Many smiles and much satisfying to read :)

Kennyevilmonkey

My comment on last week's chapter: "Viv leaves her country for a week: "Whoops, did I just accidentally a war?"" I fucking called it!!!

Joshua Aarons

Sin: "It takes a team to rotate this contraption?" Viv: "Yeah if you're a pussy. Move before I 'poon you!" *Viv pulls trigger, drops mic, exits left*

Joshua Aarons

My prediction is 2-3 chapters until emotion fueled disintegration occurs lol.

Daemion

If Viv continues to "hide" herself like that, then by the end of her journey everyone will know she's the empress but pretend to be fooled by her disguise so they won't ruin her fun.

Daemion

I would say a dragon is not going to be a recurring issue and without that threat they can hold their own and prosper.

i shteynberg

in solfice voice: “well done your imperial majesty!”

Clara

I imagine she's having too much fun being sneaky sneaky to get annoyed

Clara

The benefit is she rides out the spark of luck, rather than it biting her in the ass with no repercussion

RageBone

2 hours viv, two damn hours history will remember

tr13ze

Thanks for the chapter 😁

AgentFransis

Viv gets to do some fun crafting and fires a big cannon. And as we know, bitches love cannons. A good start to a relaxing vacation.

RonGAR

I find all the 'hoops' Viv has to jump through in order to help the people she came to save is going toward the level of 'ridiculous'. Clearly, they are the losing side. And if they can't hold, control, and or maintain what they have with what they have, then outside help from anyone is only a temporary fix. They will be facing these problems or something similar after Viv leaves. And what kind of 'allies' could they even be? They will be the side that most likely will always need help. And constant draw on New Harrak's resources and military attention. Which isn't good since currently, Baran is most likely lining up its allies against New Harrak while Viv is away. I'll have to go back to the previous chapter(s) to see what is the 'benefit' of Viv putting on this elaborate farce.

Szelanaya

How long do you think till she's had enough and disintegrates the enemy?

Elaine

good chappie

Unwillingmainer

You know, this is pretty much what I expected when she set off on a journey with the Spark of Luck acting up. Last time she ended a war, so only right that this time she starts on. At least the gods are getting some good entertainment from her again.

TargetDrone

sounds like just another tuesday for viv :p

LenoraeKB

Who could have foreseen that things would so quickly go off the rails for Viv? Truly an astonishing set of events.

Aaron Greene

Yep, things are off to a real Viv start!

Jackjargon

Trip is going smoothly 😌 for real though its good to see Viv matured in her dealing with the luck cure it seems like leaning into it makes it work for you better than against... still chaos tho

Neal Callahan

"Ah heck I accidentally seduced this guy by being too awesome. Oh no, this will complicated things. The war may also complicated things but that's not important right now."

John Anastacio

So strange to see an even mildly self-effacing demure Viv.

SDCard

Thanks for the chapter! Well, this trip certainly won't be boring.

WarStrider72

Thanks for the chapter!
