Couldnt she just adopt an alternate form, put crystals in her pockets, and then mask up again to smuggle stuff out of petals

Emily Gurnavage

"Her mom had gotten her a dedicated gaming visor with only gacha traps installed which had to be some sort of felony to be honest." She asked for silly gifts, not war crimes!

Azra

I'm subbed to both and haven't seen it, some comment on RR was asking about it too so probably not released yet

Anonymous

Did 80 ever get posted? I ask because I got bob last Friday and I’m not subbed to it.

DUN DUN DUN

AzureMaiden

Well, that’s not ominous at all 😅

Pedro Henrique

Males are better at shapeshifting and females are better at warping space, thats what i meant by magical dimorphism.

RonGAR

@Pedro @Kriss Thanks

Kriss

Males can do short range portals but only females can make portals between different planets.

RonGAR

But Sereth warps space all the time. And he portled Nestra away when He and Shinran had that battle.

Pedro Henrique

If i recal when she reaches B-Rank she will finaly be able to warp space the way only Azshi women can, Sereth cant teach her because of Azshi magical dimorphism ,and she will need to learn from a coven of Azshi women. Its a highly valuable skill, made doubly so because there is only one female for every hundred male Azshi, so its in the interest of both Nestra herself and race as whole that she learns that sooner than later.

Denva

Agree

RonGAR

Hmmm where is all this angst and need to tell her parents about her true self, coming from??? I thought she understood the consequences and the responsibility! And also the fact that its not just her life she is going to F up by getting all emo about things! She'll be sacrificing Sereth's new life on earth. Just for the possibility of being the only one to 'feel better' about her truth. Because she will be THE ONLY ONE. I don't see her Mother or Father looking at her or each other the same. SHe is too greedy and selfish to want this, when there is no upside for anyone else but her. And even then, whatever relief she feels won't last long, because now the knowledge has soured everything and everybody else. Seems quite dumb to bring this up again. --------------- And can anyone tell me, WHY she has to leave when she becomes a B-Class? Or rather, why 'the people' would make her leave when she reaches B? -------------- Wonder if Hunnigan is going to use the Trump method to get out of this situation. By blowing out the fire of this scandal with the explosion of an even bigger scandal. Then rinse and repeat. SMH They are both fucktards, but clearly the method works. --------- She really should've tried to sneak Gorge some trinkets. She all but used his connections to support her shadow life, but now can't throw him a bone every now and then when things are going good for her? Thats B.S.... Karma will fix that imbalance. SMH. ---------- Glad she is being nicer to Sashimi. Never got the point of saving her, then emotionally treating her like a mud-covered stray that needs to be constantly threatened. At least Helena appreciates the friend Shashimi could be.

Questorino341

While I do agree that most likely Hunnigan gonna somehow reveal that she is a monster, I think it gonna be in turn with a small arc of her getting captured by the americans. I also really really hope that we soon get into the actual mainstory of her learning about her trueself, specially when she has the power to create portals and hop between worlds, which means that she can easily meet her family and friends whenever she wishes, just one small portal hop away.

JLM

Sashimi is the goodest boy.

Chlo Gaddum

I love this series :P the episodes are so chunky too!

DeadicatedReader

The man paused to see if she had something to asked. -> to ask Tftc, though I am saddened by a lack of a cooking show. It doesn't fit the chapter at all to have a cooking segment but I just like the writing of it.

Bum-Sama

Nice Chappie.

I wonder if the endgame for this arc might be that Hunnigan learns that Crescent isn't human (but not that Crescent is Nestra) just in time to try to use it as a last-ditch way to drum up enough support to stay in power, but his reputation is so far in the gutter already that it actually backfires in Nestra's favor. Just by virtue of Hunnigan doing the reveal, it’s pretty plausible that a critical mass of people who would otherwise try to kill her could initially come down on her side. Even many of the most anti-alien among the older crowd would probably feel confident in being able to eliminate her later (since she’s just C grade), and might thus be inclined to initially support Crescent just to make Hunnigan look even worse. A lot of the reason I’m suspicious here is that the straightforward version of the B grade (and early A grade) arc that Nestra keeps contemplating simply seems like it drops too much of the existing setting for a really long time, and would probably have to sacrifice some plot arc opportunities that just wouldn’t make as much sense when Nestra is decently into A grade. On the other hand, having the situation evolve in a manner that allows for more of a “commuter” version of B-grade that could reasonably keep weaving in shorter Earth-based arcs. Once the big reveals are past, the sort of inroads Nestra has already been making with her Crescent personality (favorable social media presence for a wide support base, and Shinran and Ragnarok being OK with her around to anchor approval at the high end of the power scale) can reasonably yield enough long-term support for Nestra to remain reasonably welcome in Threshold. However, she hasn’t made any progress on how to handle revealing versions of her secrete to her parents or the public, which has always been the most dangerous potential event. This situation seems like it can reasonably play out in just the right sort of way to compellingly write a situation that send Nestra on a wild ride where she has just barely enough luck/control to seize an opportunity for things to turn out relatively well.

Saaski

Yeah, I was thinking along those lines too.

Sam I Am

Fingers crossed. It really feels like somebody’s going to die, however. That could break her mom.

Hussar L

What if after losing her family in near future, she would regain them later, making it second cycle complete?

Leviathon251

Crazy when the real life situation is considerably less believable than the fictional one. Lol

Sam I Am

It feels like this story is coming full circle. It started out with a sense of hopelessness, sorrow, and despair, then there was hope, panic, excitement, and progress. Now it feels like it is coming back to hopelessness, sorrow and despair. To put it another way, Nestra lost her family and her future, she regained her family and her future, now the foreshadows of losing her family and future have arrived. I hope that this isn't the case.

Mundane

It turned out excellent!

TheBotler

Tyfc!

Mantarok1205

Jolly good!

Carolyne

I think her brother would not take it well and while i think her parents could accept her I think her brother would want/try to kill or out her.

Dietz

Oh, is it reveal time? Fingers crossed it goes well.

M. Lampi

but like most of Threhsold’s underground facilities ==> but like most of Threshold’s underground facilities

Orange Thistle

Best characters have personalities that are present or plausible in real life. However yes I agree. But in the sense that it is timely in a way that benefits the story through believability. Rather than timely due to being a overly heavy sub-commentary on the current times.

DAK

“Smiling sergeants were always a calamitous omen”. I’m not a sergeant, but this made me smile.

Ricky Kukowski

Nestra just needs to kinda hold her belly with both hands, tell a hypothetical about the rape, then describe what happens with the babies in general. next focus on her dad and start by asking if he could forgive mom if it had happened to her. and then ask could he still love the baby. worry about the baby facing persecution as an adult and wonder how to protect it. etc etc. easy sympathy build. have Claire there as well.

Bladereader42

Obviously I want the parents reveal to go well, but with all the build up and warnings that is feeling like a long shot. Honestly, everyone who has found out has reacted pretty well. Even if it's not her parents, it would be interesting(but painful) to see someone close to her not accept the revelation.

Unwillingmainer

If I remember right, big guy healer/defender on in her parent's guild. Very nice to Nestra.

Mixunite

Great chapter, but who was Vassily? I can't quite remember.

David

This chapter feels... timely

Unwillingmainer

Hmmm, the way she's all morose about things, her conversation with Seth, and her hiding her go bag makes me think things are about to get very, very bad for her. I think someone new is going to find out about her, either Hunnigan or her parents I'd guess. Either way, feels like Chekov's gun is being cocked. She always knew she was on a timer, but being accepted back into a world she rejected seems to be making it all more real. On an unrelated note, I love how a dangerous mission into a portal world is her version of stress relief. Nothing like incredible violence to make the troubles disappear.

Sæþór

Tftc!

ImaRat

Great work as always, and now I'm really looking forward to future chapters!

Jackjargon

Thaks for the chapter!

Jacob

Good chapter, man I can't wait for the parents reveal

WarStrider72

Thanks for the chapter

Mecanimus

This chapter was suprisingly hard to write so it's fairly short. Now I know what I want to say with the rest of the arc though.
