The game is effectively finished. (FINALLY! FINALLY! F I N A L L Y ! )
HOWEVER (oh dear god what?!)
I can't post it yet (WHYYYYY!?)
Because even if I wanted to [WHICH I REALLY, REALLY DO], I still need to finish the back end stuff I seldom talk about:
- Finish setting up the Itch.io page (developer/marketing speech is NOT my strong suit),
- finishing up a few promotional graphics,
- drafting teaser text to entice more peeps to look,
- getting something ready for the booru, Deviantart, and most recently Gamejolt!
- Finishing the little "trailer" I've had in mind for a while,
- Sniffing out final sneaky bugs
- Final run through(s)
- etc. etc. etc.
There are things on this list I've finished between drafting this post and actually showing it to you, that's how often I work on this thing!
There is a lot I need to do now versus when I first uploaded A Nondescript Room in 2019. Dear lord it has been 2 years since I started posting...good golly...
Though there's currently no set date, I can confidently say the game will be fully released NEXT month. That'll be enough time to finish up all the polish and prime this whole shebang to blow. Come hell or high water it's getting released and I can FINALLY move on to another project. Probably a butt load of drafting and planning...
Like last time, though, to tide you over, here is the [As of August 17, 2021 published, PUBLIC] game page. It's just about finished, save some minor tweaks, and all I need to do really is add the actual software. The page will likely go public before then but like I said, the actual release will be next month.
