Perhaps, but the questions remain as to what he's willing to sacrifice of himself and others to achieve that result, and is it even worth trying? Would Otis' immunity cheat prevent him from being influenced? Is Ollie thinking that way exactly how Otis is playing him into working for him, same as he did in the PTL with Majordomo (getting somebody who hates him to still be one of his Heralds)

Brandon Lydick

Unless he's the one pushing Otis's current slow "humanization", I'm not sure if his power works on Otis but it might be exotic enough to do so. In that case he could be slowly nudging away Otis's hatred for humanity and the world.

Cullen Humphries

Thank you for the work you've been putting into the story!

Poor Ollie. He's trying to play double-agent with good intentions, but after helping create Jessica, he doesn't realize he's in too deep now. He joined the camp to make up for getting somebody accidentally killed with his power, but now he's deliberately turned somebody into a psychopath. Us to Ollie: "YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO DESTROY OTIS NOT JOIN HIM!"

Updated.

Matthew A Elliott

Yeah I'm going to make some adjustments.

Matthew A Elliott

This... requires some revisions. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'll work on it.

I agree as well. This should've been cause for mimir to lose his powers. Facial expressions are a form of communication and even if he didn't mean to do it or say anything. He caused her, through his body language, to learn her identity, thereby breaking the contract. If he wasn't present, she never would've questioned it.

Gemiae

Thanks for the chapter!

Thanks for the Chapter

Agreed

So I dislike how the revival of Ishtar to Addison happens. Specifically it feels like a pothole and a discontinuity of what was show in previous interactions of Mirmir's contract. In Chapter 76 when Mirmir's contract was described it only limited the exposure of information of Ishtar/Sonya and not causing Mirmir to seized up at her presence or sight. In previous interactions or questions about Ishtar he only had issues talking when trying to answer the questions. When Sonya was present on the screen he was not being questioned to reveal anything so the contract should not have triggered. It could be said that he was pushing against the contract and thus actively triggering its restrictions causing him to seize up. But, Mirmir would need to do this with the intention of communicating the idea that he cannot talk (and that Sonya is Ishtar) causing him to be in break of the contract and loose his powers. I think a better way of handling this would be for Addison to actively question Mirmir about Sonya on a pretty normal topic, like 'I am such a big fan, I know you used to live in NYC did you ever get to meet her?' or 'What do you think about her plans for the future?'. This would get the contract to trigger and would be consistent with previous interactions while achieving the goal of Addison finding out about Ishtar/Sonya. I would say that regardless of how the information is communicated this is an exposure of information about Ishtar/Sonya and Mirmir should loose his powers if we are consistent with the contract as described in chapter 76. Generally speaking, considering that there was a lawyer writing the contracts, I feel that 'exposing information' would cover the inaction of a signer to answer well known information about the contract owner. Exposing implies some information that is not generally known and it does not restrict someone from talking about the contract owner period, but just restricts the sharing of non-public information. I would also say that any lawyer worth their salt would include, the lack of the ability to share information about a contract owner is, in its self, a communication of information. This would mean that in previous interactions with Mirmir that when he is being seized up and unable to speak he is effectively sharing that he is unable to speak about a topic and that it is covered with his contract, which in specific context, is exposing information about the contract holder, and grounds for loosing his powers. I would say that the communication of Ishtar's identity would be within Mirmirs character for him to expose despite the consequences and loose his powers but I digress. I understand that this contradiction has already been made in previous chapters and written into major plotlines, but with the amount of smart people on her staff I feel Ishtar or Mephisto would have identified this loophole and closed it. Or at the minimum tested the contract to see that it is possible to communicate aspects of the contract owner without triggering the punishment. It could be said that this is arrogance on Ishtar and Mephisto's part but up to this point they have been shown to be highly competent with the contacts. It could also be a deliberate action from Sonya considering her self-destructive tendencies. But the contract was made under the Ishtar persona and, if I understand what you are hinting to be the 'secret of villainy' is true, she would not make a self-destructive mistake like that.

CentaureHeart

Well, that didn't last long. Thanks for the chapter !
