The defense listing all of the things Timothy would do such as, "...he would take things apart? Do you remember that? He would sneak out? He took out the screws and bolts? He ripped up the mattress?" etc etc How in the f does that help Shanda at all? It makes Shanda look terrible for not taking him to get some help! She can say she doesn't remember, but what about the remember-y times? Did she black out Timothy's presence altogether or something? There is no way she did not see what was happening to this child, what was becoming of him. There are literally zero defenses for what they did to Timothy. Brainwashed Paul, when faced with reality, realized there were no defenses to what they did to Timothy, and totally owned up to it. But, hey, it's not the first time defense attorneys have to try to defend the undefendable.

When people say they can tell when Paul messes up. They smiles and grins. Which makes him evil. Just shows you how smart people really are.

Great commentary! I would imagine Shonda's attorney asked all of those repetitive questions to try and make Paul slip up about something, or to attempt to reframe the context surrounding the evidence. It must be extremely difficult to be a lawyer for someone like Shonda, as I imagine she was not okay with any defense that made her look bad in any way.
