most pedos I've met are very unassuming and quiet and "pathetic" to some degree. I'm probably biased just based on the types of people I work with but in my experience if you meet someone who has committed a serious crime and they're a quiet/nerdy/sensitive type, the crime is pedo-related.

I’ve watched hundreds of child pred catches with video, chat logs and phone calls. It’s either about power and deviant sexual desire or people like him that can only feel like they can have relationship with children. It’s quite bizarre watching a grown man crumble when they realise the love of his life was a 30 yo man or 24 yo women and not 11 yo child.
