Talking to Russell
🕑 Added 2019-10-06 23:17:29 +0000 UTCHey everyone!! These past few weeks, I've been working on Russell (the game's first NPC) as well as the dialogue system that lets you talk to him! Here's a video showing off his model, some animations, and the way that dialogue looks / sounds so far.
At the end of the video, I also show off the game's pause menu, which takes the form of the field journal that Russell gives you. Most of the pages are still blank, but I've been working on the Options page first (which is important to have before people start playing this.) Also, the badges that you get go on the front of the journal.

yeah! I'd really like to do stuff to individualize the feel of dialog with each character, and the pitch of their dialog blip will definitely be one of those things

Do different NPCs have different pitches of vocals? I imagine Russell having a much deeper, lower tone.
Truly love your progresses dude, really hope you could make out a full game of it one day, this looks so good!
