Image: Escape from DuckovThe Resties haven't been the biggest fans of the extraction shooter genre, mostly due to its intense demands on our gaming time. But Escape from Duckov knows how to adapt the genre for the elder gamer: make the campaign single player and replace the military dudes with adorable ducks. We also chat about Lumines Arise, the Tetris Effect-ification of a beloved PSP-era franchise.
Stuff discussed:
Hard Boiled 4K Blu-ray (also streaming on Criterion Channel!)
Angel Dust - 1994 on Archive.org

Catching up from the previous Resties where you talked about fav magazines, I wanted to share a link to forgottenworlds.net. It's a fan magazine about... old video game magazines. They're limited run, and I've only bought the last one (The Sega issue), but what a trip. Has lots of high quality scans of old magazine covers, review pages, etc.., and even some interviews with industry folks. I encourage anyone to give it a look to see what this person is about! For what it's worth, I chased EVERY PIECE OF NEWS THERE WAS ABOUT THE 3D SONIC GAME FOR THE SEGA SATURN. I'm still waiting for it's official release.

Really hope they add controller/deck support, have never played an extraction shooter and don’t usually go for multiplayer so this sounds insanely compelling

Was there mention of a Lumines demo? Maybe I misheard but not finding it linked out or when searching Steam.

Completely agree on the Mario bros being a go to Halloween costume and bonus bring the theme for a family costume.
