Besties friends, be mindful of scammers
🕑 Added 2025-12-03 03:17:07 +0000 UTCJust letting y'all know that we recently had a scammer pop into the comments of the $10 tier launch post with the profile name of "The Besties Podcast Author" telling people to enter a raffle on Telegram or something of the sort. We had a number of you report it, and we really appreciate the heads up.
We've obviously blocked the offender and put in some additional safeguards to keep something similar from happening again, but wanted to remind y'all that we'll never ask you for money beyond the very generous donations y'all already put in for the Patreon. (Or, you know, if you bought one of Russ's towels.)
If you're ever in doubt or something seems fishy, you can DM us here on Patreon as a safeguard measure. That includes anything fishy you might see in the Substack newsletter comments.
