The Resties need your help to decide the outcome of the 2025 predictions. If you've listened to the most recent episode, you will know both Resties made arguments in defense of predictions that could be interpreted as both right and wrong. So, we thought it would be best to leave that interpretation up to you.
Here are the predictions and the corresponding evidence:
Plante: Ubisoft (or a hostile takeover company) will announce its intention for a sale/acquisition or merger
Ubisoft appoints advisors to explore strategic options for a potential buyout
Ubisoft appoints advisors to explore strategic options after report on potential buyout
Frushtick: Nintendo will make some public reference to the durability of the Switch 2 analog sticks in either marketing materials or an official press release. An interview doesn't count.

Is there something wrong with the ad-free feed? I just got a membership and I can load the bonus feed into my pod catcher okay but the ad free fee just keeps giving me a “not found” error

In the spirit of these predictions, I can only really go with my gut since they are both regionally specific - if Russ’s is correct even if it was only released in Japan, the Chris’s would be correct for Singapore’s Switch 2 release date.

Chris’s prediction is technically wrong but spiritually correct, Russ’ is spiritually wrong but technically correct.

Both predictions are wrong. If you read the text of both, they could be interpreted as both right, but they are both wrong. The lawyer below is correct about Chris's prediction being wrong. The sticks are larger, becoming more durable, is what is said. This has nothing to do with the english definition of durability. It is a mistranslation.

I'm for ruling that both predictions are correct, BUT I contend that by the principle that Russ is allowed to incorporate Nintendo of Japan's marketing, Chris should get credit for his prediction about the Switch 2 launch being June 26th in Singapore correct.
