Perks Update Dec '24

Merry Christmas, happy holiday and happy new year for all.
Last week, our Dropbox shared folder got suspended again by Dropbox. Thus, I am moving the data from Dropbox to Mega. Unfortunately, our new account got suspended with no reason.
A couple day later, I am trying to switch my data to Mega again. Using fresh email and VPN. This time, it works without issue. But to avoid any issue like before, I am moving the data slowly and see how it progress.
Thankfully, I am on 20% progress and all seems good. I will be starting to resend the invitation to our new Mega Shared folder, today. But the process might be slow, so if you are not receiving it yet, please be patient. And as the data migration is still on going process, the content might less than the one in Dropbox. But, as time goes one, more data will be added over time.
Also, please make sure the account to access the Mega Share folder is the same with the one that I send for the invitation. And please, do not re-share the folder to anyone else, or it might increase the chance of our new folder to get suspended again.
Hopefully, there will be no issue with the new shared folder. And also, I will still keep the Dropbox Folder. I asked to tech support, and the suspension will be lifted on January 1st. I will keep both folder, as backup for now. And also see how it all progress.
And last, I am terribly sorry for the issue. I am trying to solve this issue as soon as I can, but it seems the pace is quite slow. If anyone have question, feel free to message me.

Over the years, I've used self hosted cloud and third party service. Both has its ups and downs π

Come on man! Create your own cloud service in a few clicks! j/k. I'm also looking into publicly hosting files of questionable copyright in a way that minimizes take downs. In the old days, I'd find a poorly secured ftp server and volunteer the owner to host my files :) These days, it isn't so easy.

It's complete about a month ago, but I hesitant to migrate all users because there's still issue that I can't solve at mega. Some users is reporting issue, getting decryption key warning. Making them unable to access the folder. I tried all solution from the internet and suggestion from mega tech support, still no real solution that's consistently working. I will send you the invitation, so that you can try it out. Would that okay for you? Another issue is, notification email from mega. Most of the time always marked as spam :(

Hey! Was the migration to Mega ever completed? I've been trying to download some stuff from Dropbox, and it keeps cutting me off whenever I hit 20 GB in a day, so I'm curious if there is currently an alternative available.

Hey, thank you so much for your support all this long. If you're on SkyFather tier or higher, you could get an access to our Dropbox Shared folder. Due to recent issue, we're trying to moving the data from Dropbox into Mega (file host) :)

Thanks for the update. Not personally gonna complain. Service is excellent on an ongoing basis, so not going to fret about a brief interruption that's beyond your control. Looking forward to continuing life with the site.

Hi. I believe the limit only apply when you download from external links. But, if you import the files into your personal Mega space, there's no download limit (please correct me if I am wrong). On the other side, I will still keep the dropbox shared folder for now.

My only problem with Mega is it imposes a 5GB a day download restriction for free users. Will you still upload to Dropbox or will it be Mega only moving forward?
