Hi Kat! If you think you'll be wearing the garment primarily while seated, then I would say that taking the measurements while seated is the best plan! The only measurement I would take either while standing or take the measurement of an existing garment is the skirt length measurement. Instead of standing, you could measure the length of your favorite skirt to get that measurement! That being said, you won't be needing this measurement anytime in the near future, so you don't have to worry about it just now. :) I hope this helps!

I’m a wheelchair user, so I’m seated most of the time. Do you think I should take my waist and hip measurements seated? There is definitely a measurement difference between seated and standing for me.

There is not a pattern for it currently.... but perhaps in the future! ;)

I’m having issues seeing the video as well.

for the skirt length measurement you can reverse the tape so that the beginning of the tape in at the hemline and your desired length number is at the waist. you can then pinch it and read without bending.
