I am frustrated with making sweaters that don’t fit. I gauge, I measure (like the pattern says) and it still doesn’t fit. I just had to tear back an entire yoke of a sweater I began to make because I couldn’t get it over my shoulders. I’ve been knitting 9 years but still have a lot to learn.

Definitely intrigued by the idea of cute, interesting patterns that are a mix of relaxing and challenging. Love seeing the influences and styles of different times, how the garments were constructed for fit and practicality. My goal is to be more intentional with my knitting and wardrobe, and I love the network of people working on similar projects at once to track and cheer on!

Don't feel bad-- this makes me so happy!

This is a great addition!

I started my Louisa shawl this weekend in a gorgeous Norwegian alpaca and wool blend. I forgot how much I love the simplicity of garter stitch. One thing I'm interested in learning more about is how to size up vintage patterns. I own a few vintage pattern books and I would love to be able to knit from them but they were designed for teenagers and the bust measurements are too small.

I only clicked on 3 responses but like... basically all of this? I love how many other people are here who also love vintage knitting patterns! I'm having a great time making the scarecrow vest for my girlfriend without having to deconstruct and completely rewrite the pattern myself, a thing I am notoriously terrible at doing! I love learning more about knit history! It's all great!!

I feel bad, I pretty much clicked on all the options. I am thrilled to find patterns, history, community and more.

Now remembering that the thought of having some sort of goal or structure every month was also appealing. This Patreon is probably pretty strong because it potentially ticks many boxes.

Certainly came here for the knitting and the history, but finding the community potential here an unexpected bonus. And now I have signed up for the goodies, of course I'm very interested! Though it was the idea of bonus patterns that initially had me signing that highest tier.

I would love to see some patterns that are simple enough but effective so that there is something nice and new in them but not too much of a headache either...and flat knits in my case of course too ;-) I have finished my shawl and will post soon on insta , I have another one and a half one on the needles too ....addicted :-)

Number 3 that is for me! See ... I love the pattern sooo much I can't type xo Meredith

Hells bells ... I can't get over the scarecrow ... I'm finally on number (for myself with that gorgeous Susan Crawford wool) with #2 knitted especially in a beautiful green for the phenomenal Bianca of The Closet Historian being shipped off today from NZ to Colorado!

All of the above!!

a common knitting goal to help me focus and be encouraged
