I can't wait to see if Edithe can do the matriarch in! On the one hand, I want so see Salvos intervene and show off her powers at the current time, on the other hand, I want Edithe to be strong on her own! Maybe Edithe still needs some time to fully heal after the merge?

Yeah, that's a possibility: the humans can't make artifacts with Lesser Appraisal capable of appraising lvl 150 and above. As in the lvl limitation is in the artifact and not the skill itself.

My main point is that skill limits regarding levels depend in the caster. I don't think [Lesser Appraisal] is limited to lv150 but only the specific item.

Venas had [Skill Appraisal] and let him see all skills from Salvos subspecies. So [Lesser Appraisal] should not have the same effect. Based on what's above my guess is the general tab of the status. We know there's also a skill called [True Appraisal] (B3C26). Apparently, people would be able to tell Edith's class and that it was related to demons if she had chosen such advancement. In B4C2, Salvos forgot Lily had an unkown advanced appraisal skill and said Edith talked about [Advanced Appraisal] which let's one see the skills of a 3rd party. I think it's a reference to [True Appraisal] (name inconsistency?). I expect it to be a fusion of lesser and skill appraisal (general + main class/subspecies tabs). We saw Devil and others use God's Eye (is the name right?), probably highest tier of appraisal.

What level is the [Lesser Appraisal] in the artifact? What's the reference level? My spontanuous hypothesis it that [Identification] shows level, [Lesser Appraisal] primary class and [(Greater) Appraisal] both classes. [God's Eye] shows the full stat block. All of them might reach up to caster level + 10x skill level when a person does it and 10/40/70/100/150/200/250 based on the rarity in artifacts / magic items.

Ludex is also insane and aimed to spread the corruption in order to destroy the Nexeus, so he is lawful evil. Thus, their fusion should arrive somewhere around lawful neutral, unless their power difference gives him an edge and slants her to the evil side. She also could be straight up insane now after her soul was fused with his and drift to anywhere between lawful and chaotic evil.

Lesser Appraisal shouldn't be an upgraded version because of the text above. It doesn't give any results for lvl 150 and above. Appraisal let's one see all the skills from the main subspecies/class (ch 595, Venas used it). IMO, it's just a different tree of skills.

The whole laughing like a mad man might've been because he thought he just freed a massive now super powerful and super friendly army and he was gonna take down the evil soli only to quickly find out that things didn't work the way he assumed. Less fanatical and more overzealous and naive. I doubt he's gonna let out corrupted entities like that again where as if he was fanatical he'd still probably do it.

To me after all we learned it feels like he got the power to control corruption recently (like probably less than a year as he woke up when the demon kings invasion started) and assumed control of corruption would make all corruption friendly to him and have them follow his orders.

Pretty sure Appraisal is the improved version of Identify. Your quote implies that Lesser Appraisal not showing any result is out of the ordinary, likely becourse that skill is pretty good normaly

No, they have identification we saw the status of people. From what I remember there was never a mention of lesser identification. I think U are referring to Obfuscation or Appraisal skills.

iirc they mentioned before that there's lesser identification so if that ranks up at lvl 10 then really that'd be like lvl 16-17 and it's like the whole situation of how salvos was born with universal language comprehension where as most people have to struggle to even get advanced language comprehension

No way. Saffron lvl up her identification from 6 to 8 in a short while (book 2 to book 4?). It's one of those skills that's super easy to lvl up and with his age...

Pretty sure Iu discovered something about the contract that normal spirits make with summoners (aka the one Soli and Alexander created), since thats what Edithe wanted to do. I always thought it was strange that all summoned spirits where whiling to die for their summoner, except for Willy whose summoner was a cyclops, maybe that contract was different

I'm really hoping that Edithe is still Edithe after this. I'm all for a massive power-up for her: the girl deserves it after all she's been through. And she's gonna need it if she hopes to keep up at all with Salvos and, presumably, Daniel after his training montage. Just ... ludex seemed like a fanatical asshole, and we don't need that as part of our our idealistic and brave as shit redhead.

last we saw clayton was level 170, inspection levels would allow him to see these levels: lvl 1 = lvl 180, lvl 2 = lvl 190, lvl 3 = lvl 200, lvl 4 = lvl 210, lvl 5 = lvl 220, lvl 6 = lvl 230, lvl 7 = lvl 240, lvl 8+ = lvl 250 which is max level, so he could technically only have lvl 6 or 7 despite being the strongest mage in the human lands

I’m kind of going off some comments that were made prior in relation to Amelia’s shown angle. In that series we know that the angle we have interacted with is a non-biologically created being (unnatural evolution) that is labeled as an angel. That being said though, we know Salvos’s species evolution is of angelic properties and has been the only one we’ve seen in the entire series upon until the archangel. I just think that she will probably achieve another angelic evolution when she reaches her primordial evolution stage due to her combating the sickness of the world (well, combating in her own way through controlling it).

So… Edithe has now merged with an archangel and Salvos is probably the closest being to a true angle in the Nexus that we’re aware of (as of the last time we got confirmed stats from her). I swear Daniel… next time we seen him better not be some form of angel as well.

I was expecting too much as can be seen by my original comment, its not that it was a bad chapter at all, in fact it was amazing. Its just I was expecting a chapter as epic as "Apotheosis" was.

spirits will literally fight to the death if ordered, I doubt all are that brave especially when some are essentially low level children, I imagine it something like soli puts all spirits through something similar to what edith wanted a binding contract that forces them to do what the summoners want if ordered even if it's knowingly to their death
