I don't think Edithe knows any resources she can point the Archangel at to power up before the fight. Current Salvos is one and knows more, starting with Samuel and Belphegor. If Daniel and the mortal elites grew enough as well, they are also assets. Edithe can IMO only suggest things the Archangel will consider a waste of time.

If the Archangel tries to challenge Soli again with Edithe's body, I can only see a repeat of how it went with his own body. I absolutely hope Salvos interferes with that plan!

Salvos will be furious and I expect her to fight the Archangel right after or even while the matriarch is dealt with! Imagine the Archangel about to finish of the matriarch, Salvos arrives in a hurry, they exchange one line and Salvos goes completely berserk on them! And the matriarch is ragdolled between them. The Archangel will want Salvos' skills and cooperation, while Salvos wants Edithe back. They'll take a while, but they'll cooperate, I think.

I think Salvos will awaken a new skill just to try and pull the Archangel out of Edithe. That said, Edithe definitely won't completely go back to before. Maybe Salvos can absorb most of the Archangel's power -including his ego- and deploy them as a second anointed clone besides Sally. Or she flips that around and does that with Edithe's conscious?

Don’t die on us Edith. Salvos would be furious if one of her companions died while she was gone. Edith was always the weakest member of the party but she was also the group mom and was primarily responsible for Salvos’ sense of morality just like Haec was responsible for her sense of honor. He pride was something she had from birth from the moment that she realized that the “Special Rock” was just the same as every other rock and decided that she would always be unique and her pride is based on her individuality.

It sounds like Edithe is still inside 'Edithe', so ... here's to hoping she's able to survive in some way ... preferably one that allows her to continue being relevant and active in the story. But yeah, Edithe isn't gonna be quite the same after this.

So, 'Edithe' is just the Archangel with schizophrenia in the form of Edithe in his head. Uh oh. Well, I'm excited to see how everything develops but I can't believe Edithe actually "died", this is so sad.

I think she'll work with the archangel to try and get his own body as it appears edithe is still in there, and the archangel will be interested in salvos but also being able to make a new body on command would greatly help the archangel and make him even more unkillable

Hmmmm idk how well this is gonna sit with salvos tbh. I don’t think she’s gonna just accept this outcome when she finds. I also imagine something along the lines of salvos appearing due to the chalice from earlier and then fighting “Edithe” to free her or something maybe my imaginations too wild.
