Meanwhile, here's the poll for my next video besides that, so I'd know what to start reading up on:
1) Not sure if this would be the title. This one would be a very general kind of a follow-up to my video "Neoliberalism, World Music and Corporate Aesthetics". I would pose cyberpunk as a counterpoint to the kind of corporate return-to-innocence primitivist tropes you had in the 90s. While world music and new age aesthetics played on the desire to return to innocence, or some kind of essential human nature, cyberpunk rejected any kind of return, innocence, or human nature. I would probably also talk about Donna Haraway's concept of the cyborg.
2) This would be about the 1990 movie Total Recall, prosthetic memory, and the relations between memory, identity, and authenticity. I would draw mostly on an essay on the topic by Alison Landsberg, but might also use Derrida's ideas on teletechnology.
3) I've already made a video on Baudrillard through American Psycho, but probably the most popular cultural product associated with Baudrillard is The Matrix, which was influenced by him, the actors had to read Baudrillard, his book Simulacra and Simulations was shown in the movie, and quotes of his were used in the script as well. However, Baudrillard quite harshly distanced himself from the movie. In this video I would introduce aspects of Baudrillard's thought relevant to The Matrix and show how their treatment in the movie differs.
4) I would find a more specific topic for this later, but pick this if you think I should do a video about the more practical side of radical left politics. I might do something, for example, on council communism, autonomism, or communization theory.

If you are still wanting to take on a popular (bestselling) book with some bad philosophy and misunderstanding of hist processes and thinking, Enlightenment Now! would be great.
