Recently I read two books about the Jewish population under German occupation in WW2 that i can highly recommend: "Judenrat" and "Jewish responses to Nazi persecution" both by Isaiah Trunk. Both show different ways how Jewish people lived, died, fought, survived under Nazi rule, not just as Individuals, but also as large communities, how enforced ghettos self-administered. Jewish communities, groups and people attempted very, very distinct approaches all across the board... Some of these violently fought back not because they had hope, but out of desparation, even though their situation was hopeless. I just thought about this at some point of the video

Thanks for doing all the research and making this video. It's very informative and I share your analysis of the urban guerrillas. I only looked into the RAF very superficially. I wasn't even aware of other German groups, and have never before heard that the suicides in Stammheim raise so many questions.... even though I am German and watched German documentaries about it in the past. Thanks

There's a pretty cool radical indie movie from the 80's that captures the mood of this era, and of urban guerilla. It adresses issues of racism, sexism, and homophobia, and unfolds in a fictional socialist america.
