I think - the punch is behind all of them. For Lochlan he did what he needed to do to appease the Lord - even if he did not agree with it. And for Kadar - it would literally open up old wounds re Lochlan actually doing the whipping

This is a wonderful chapter. Though, obviously it being only chapter 4 means complications are abound in the future. The only thing I felt missing from all the dialogue is some mention of the fact Kaden punched a noble in Ahsan defense (in chapter 3). That should be a point he could have used as well.

That chapter hit me like a pile of bricks. Pride is such a dangerous thing to hold on to, and it almost never proves any worth. I'm interested to see how Kadar moves forward with all of what he has learned. Truly masterful writing here.

This chapter really made me reflect on Lochlan and feel a lot of sorrow for him! Not only for his sister but the fact he clearly loved/loves Ahsan even he didn't come right out and admit it. That was rather sad to me but I also admired him greatly for not being envious of Kadar, but rather simply telling him to be good to Ahsan.

I literally love Lochan so much! Ever since he was introduced I loved him. Its great to see more of his pain and how he connects so literally with Ahsan and now, almost by accident, Kadar. Though in my mind they fuck right then and there after that tender moment. . . but only in my mind XP

I'm flabbergasted. Absolutely incredible. As always, I'm literally hooked to your writing like the Divine!

That story is getting darker the longer it goes, and it started quite dark already. That new insight into both Ahsan's and Lochlan's life have shaken Kadar to the core as it seems that he for the first time can quell his seething anger over his lot in life to see his errors freely. Now it must be seen how good that hold is until he may loose it again. But somehow I see our protagonist do something quite idiotic to his former mindset in working off the little hyena's debt as well additional to his attempt to change Ahsan into a proper man.
