Wrist trouble, please have patience with me
🕑 Added 2020-12-29 05:34:41 +0000 UTCWanted to apologize in general for being less than active on social media and here on Patreon this month, I'm aware I'm behind on polled images. We're at the end of the year and I've been cranking out Menagerie content and gift art nonstop, and. . . unfortunately, I think I overdid it.
I've been suffering with untreated Carpal Tunnel for the last 6 years or so, and sometimes it flares up like this and affects everything I do - art, writing, anything I need to use my hands for. I'm having serious numbness issues and pain that keeps me up at night, and I know if I keep pushing it, it might mean a hospital visit, which I absolutely can't risk. Last night in particular was very bad, and I've been trying to soldier through it today, but I think I'm at my limit.
I'm going to ask you all to be patient with me on polled images and story submissions, the latter of which hurts me especially because it's the thing I kept telling myself I could finish regardless of the wrist pain, but it doesn't seem like that's going to be the case. This is also why I haven't been streaming as much, since working hours on end is just not happening.
I fully expect to catch up in early January, at which point I'm going to focus primarily on commissions. With a new year comes a clean slate for menagerie too, so that means less of a crunch there.
Wanted to thank you all - honestly, NO ONE has complained that the polled image from last month is late, and I fret over these things like crazy. It took my mates reassuring me endlessly for literally days before I was able to accept you'd all probably be alright with things being a little delayed for health reasons. I worry too much, but I honestly can't remember the last time one of you actually got upset with me.
I hope everyone enjoys their holidays! Please stay healthy, wear a mask, try to stay as positive as you can, and I will do my best to do the same.

Take whatever time you need, regardless of how late your work is it can still be done. Overwork yourself without taking care and you’ll end with worse than just late work.

Please don't worry about it. Protecting your health and as a result your ability to create and have an income are so much more important then us having to wait a little longer. The long term is so much more important then the short term and we will eagerly await your return to writing and art <3
