I mean Luther and Amon are 39/34 right? But Luther thinks he is a decade older than Amon. It give me the feeling that he always underestimates others' age, which is somehow funny for me XD

Luther always feels himself older than he actually is. Still remember in RL he consider himself decade on Amon XD. For this story maybe 31/26 or 32/27 could be reasonable?

Should be a 5 year difference, based on their canonical ages in Kindred - Finnegan at 30, Luther at say, 35. Working back from that, first off there's less of an age gap than I thought, but that honestly just makes Finnegan calling him an 'old man' funny, and VERY fitting for a twenty-something dealing with a thirty-something :P So, doing the math, Luther would be 28 here. Which I don't think is a problem, timeline-wise? I dunno, I'll have to check Heretic. The fact is, these short stories are kind of floating in the timeline regardless, I write first and consider semantics second :P Sorry if that shattered some illusion of competence on my part, haha

I'm not sure if I misunderstand. I think on FA you mentioned Kindred is roughly 4-5 years before the events of Red Lantern, which means at that point Luther is 34 or 35. If in Kindred Finn is 30, then he should be 4-5 years younger than Luther. But in this story Luther should be between 31 to 35 right? During his years in the fleet before Serwich. If given Finn 23 in this story, then Luther is almost a decade on him.

Kindred is set before events in Red Lantern, all of my novels are. Remember, Grant is in it ; )

I'm not sure if I said 'short', but Finn's exploits with Luther could only have taken place years before Kindred, due to Luther's voyage to Serwich. And this is set a few years before that, even. Luther has not even gotten orders to go to Serwich at this point.

This happens just before Luther went to Serwich on the Dark Continent. He spent four years there, fighting the Cathazra before he found a way to evacuate the colony and Kindred took place a few years after the story of Red Lantern. The timeline fits.

A little question about Finn's age. I think it mentioned in Kindred Finn is thirty, and this story seems like happened a short time before Kindred. How could he be 23 at this point?

And Finn being Barberella. The battle of who will last the other. This is a wonderful campy movie from the late 60's. Excellent work! I love how Luther isn't JUST interested in having a bit of fun. He's genuinely concerned that Finn enjoy himself too and doesn't have any regrets for trying the pleasures of male companionship. I can't wait for more! (I obviously will, as long as you need to finish it... but, I'll be pining!) ;)

A brilliant chapter. I really love the slow burn of s sex scene rather than the fast and frantic 'bang. Finn is very lucky that Luther had Such an experienced and caring lover.
