There are actually a bunch of spoilery little easter eggs in it, since it's set at ______ future point in the Red Lantern canon. None of these little snippets will be particularly spoilery save maybe the scar over Luther's eye, because none of them will make sense to you!
. . . yet.
But someday, you'll look back on this image (hopefully) and be like, "Oh yeah, I get it now."

Good. Cuz' here comes question number two. I know... well... okay, I *guess* Tuli and Finn weren't originally planned by you from the beginning either. They were created, like, for the sake of a fanservice or something like that. Hence the question: how much, in your opinion, is it acceptable to expand the number of characters and will they become an obstacle to the perception of the main idea of "Red Lantern" as a story? Has "Red Lantern" turned from a relationship novel, as it initially seemed to be, into an epic, or was RL originally conceived in this way? (no spoilers, please! :)

Not really! This is a true blue case of the fandom falling in love with a character, and me giving him a larger role in the story because of that : )

BTW, Rukis, if you ever think that people just watch your work because they like lookin' at sexy guys, look at how many posts are about people obsessing over the details and hidden easter eggs you included, trying to eke out any meaning they can. That's emotional investment. And it comes from characters that are absolutely real and beloved by so many!
