Now THAT is very in-depth. Pardon the late response, i kept forgetting to fully read this comment, as i've been reading half of it on my phone, then getting interrupted by something... Excuses done, i'm impressed you've accurately described the issue and your solution. I've had other solutions in mind but they felt like you've mentioned, "limits the potential of the dream PoV". It's a really rough scenario, and i think i may end up with 2 solutions in the end, as much i hate to do the same work twice, this case kind of needs it. A "censored" face, featuring large, blurred pixels that would inherit the color of the actor, to provide the illusion of the animation, while keeping the mouth and chin as you've mentioned, and anything underneath, and also allowing the imagination to take over. While this isn't great, it's a long-shot from a blank window. And a "generic" PoV for Fellatio based on the default character in the Character Creator screen. That way it's accurate to the "default portrayal" of that race, and leaves less to the imagination, even if it'll unlikely be the hairstyle/appearance of the character in the PoV. And well, i ask because i often become paralysed by choice and doubt. Would people enjoy either of the above options? Would people be against it? I've seen several other creators attempt at the Fellatio PoV, and it's a mixed bag. Some make generic, recolorable characters as mentioned above, but escape the "Point of View" angle, while others shoot for X-Ray type animations. I can't decide for everyone, but i can try to accomodate for as many tastes as possible, without exponentially increasing the work i gotta do to make it all happen.

It's a shame for me to write this granted your animation is very impressive. But since you asked... When it comes to planning out projects, it's important to remember you can always bite off more than you can chew. If you're looking for a shortcut to establishing a proper PoV with full Starbound customization, you have to keep things simple. A solution that comes to mind would be to limit the visible fellatio animation to just above the nose. A proper hair profile won't be necessary, eye details for say a hylotl character won't be necessary, and proper facial vanilla designs across each race won't be necessary. The only varying elements that you would have to worry about are skin colors, skin texture, and mouth shapes. Granted this limits the potential of the dream PoV model, but there is a reason it has taken this long to even conceptualize a PoV for Starbound. Designing 7 variable vanilla races, each with their own variations was proven difficult for an entire developing team, now a small group of modders plan to expand on each design tenfold and animate that, even considering taking on dozens of modded races as well. An ambitious alternative to hand drawn art would be to utilize an AI artstation to sketch out every single base design, hair, face, etc., then to edit each design down into a fitting asset for the mod. But with the vast amount of vanilla and modded content, even this is unreasonable. Going forward, the only way to implement a tangible PoV mod would be to eliminate as many variable details as possible. Things that come to mind are hiding the hands and feet, as varying races will have very different digit shapes and textures. And hiding the hair, eyes, plumage, etc. as there is simply a massive amount of variety in these areas. What's left is the legs, arms, torso, and lower half of the face. All that needs to be done with these elements is a skin retexture of Loc's PoV demo, for example, Hylotl will have scales, Apex will have fur, Avians will have feathers, etc. ; a lower face texture and retexture, i.e. larger Apex jaw, wide Floran mouth, pointy Avian beaks; and a proper color mapped body for each race. Fortunately, racial bodies have uniform color maps, meaning each race has to only be done once. I believe the PoV mod can be very straightforward when conceptualized like this. I hope this has helped solidify a possible roadmap moving forward. Conceptualized Variations: Human: Floran: Human w/ wider mouth and flesh fangs, add leaves to human body, re-color Avian: Human with replaced mouth as beak (disregard beak variations), add feathers to human body, add fluffy white belly, re-color Hylotl: (I feel like Floran mouth design is appropriate, but human looks good too), add scales to human head and body, re-color (not to forget there are multiple colors on the hylotl head as well) Apex: Human with sharper and wider jaw (may add variations to chin hair later but find a generic design as a place holder), add fur to human body, re-color Glitch: Human mouth might be appropriate, texturing the body might be as simple as keeping a human body and adding lines, then replacing the chest with a grill. Novakid: Human, make fullbright, may not need a mouth, re-color (If I had a better grasp of LUA and was satisfied with my artistic abilities, I would have begun working on this project myself. But alas, I have to only hope a more skilled individual can take over).
