WD!AU Season 3 FINALE: the Planning Stages

I had initially been planning to get to the finale a lot earlier than this, but alas, life happens to the best of us. During my lunchbreak at work today, I spent some time making a very mysterious chart which will help me later...

Along with that, I did some very quick thumbnailing for the comic.
And today, instead of re-sketching those pages I turned around and realized I never finalized the design for another character which is due to appear in the comic.... So I got down to that real quick. And because I love you guys so much, here she is!
Yep, Rainbow is set to have a debut in the comic, and her weapon as I've designed it is going to be a fan.
I considered making it an umbrella like for Rainbow 2.0, but that's very specifically a Steven and Pearl thing, and I wanted something a bit more serious, with a refined-regency-damsel feel to it.
Let me know what you think in the comments! Her design is still set to change a bit, probably before I finalize it in the comic itself, but the main idea probably won't shift significantly.

I really like the idea of rainbow quartz using a fan as her weapon, but in the picture it looks like her fan is as tall as she is, was that intentional?

Yes, the first one is just a line of color gradient blocks! Nothing is messed up. Just keeping some mystery. :)

She's gorgeous! I love the fan idea, I was a bit surprised I didn't see any gems with one, especially fancy ones like Pearl or Aquamarine (but to be fair, Aqua don't deserve a fan). So excited!

The weapon perfectly fits this fusion! One thing I can say is that fusions' clothes tend to be a mix of the ones worn by each half, and in this design I'm not sure that connection is there, but honestly the clothes you came up with are so incredible that it doesn't matter. Be sure to do a full turnaround, I get the feeling that the suit's tail is gonna be hard to draw depending on the shot's perspective!
