I'm so glad to have finally gotten this scene done. It was complicated on many levels - trying to finish this in between my extended work hours PLUS trying to figure out fighting scenes was the bane of my December... But we got here, and hopefully I can stop making such LONG episodes for next time.
(For public posting, this episode may be broken up into 2 parts... we'll see.)

WHEWF CG was the perfect bite of comic relief after all that, my gooooooosh. I did NOT see that coming, but of COURSE it wouldn't disrupt Rose's form, diamond and all. YEET.

I love how in both your Jasper/Rose fights you've had Rose fighting in such a way that she's clearly being careful not to hurt Jasper, and Jasper just has no idea that that's what's going on.

Also, mega cool that rose was getting emotional, but instead of exploding with destructive power like she'd done as pink, she channeled in to something non lethal

I’m guessing she didn’t directly fight back because the delicate emotional state the Cluster experiments left her in could amplify her powers and far more easily Shatter Jasper than Poof her, possibly reach past the shield to harm Earl, Amethyst, and Steven too.

The planning may be hell, but it definitely pays off. Your fight choreo is a joy to read and easy to keep straight while being very visually arresting. I'm so compelled by Rose's reactions and arc in this comic. She fascinates me as a character, and might be my favorite in the series, even if I don't really... like her as a person? Is complicated, and you always do such a marvelous job with that complexity. You make it so easy to feel empathy for her and her situation despite frustrations. It's most of the reason I read, and it never stops being amazing.
