Hey guys, long time no see! Thank you so much for your patience with me. I've been quite busy with my IRL stuff, as usual, but I think I'm going to be able to get back into the swing of things here.
I was thinking of breaking this comic up into two parts but... I think I'll just post it as one. There's not enough in here to have a clear breaking point.

Jesus, what the -heck- did White Diamond do to Greg while he was kidnapped away? I mean, even without Gem Trauma(tm), suddenly having aliens barge in in the middle of a "something giant is about to wake up and shatter the earth" would be enough to send anyone into a panic attack. Proud of Greg for keeping things as well together as he did.

ugh now I want breakfast and it's way past bedtime lol. It really hasn't been that long since we met CG, relatively, but I legit can't picture a world without her at this point?? And there's something so wholesome and sweet with the way she and Greg interact. I guess it's like grandparent or uncle vibes lol. Ugh they're both such good characters, and I'm so excited (and kind of scared haha :"D) to see what's in store for them. Esp poor Greg :'O This one was a real heart-acher at the end....

The feeling when you look at Greg, know just a BIT more then maybe the rest of the cast knows, and realize Greg is not weak but harmed. He's carrying wounds that haven't healed, that are still open. They aren't physical, and he's not a gem, so they don't take physical form. But you know that man can't handle Gem Stuff because his past trauma was related to that.

The grandparent effect: increased lifespan allowing older generations to care for offspring, allowing the younger generations to hunt and fight without abandoning their young. Greg representing humanity better than he thinks right now. Also, I never considered Rose going on meant she could see the tension between Greg and Pearl build. I think I got used to the poly AUs. That’s some great drama she’s got going on, caught between concern for her partner and a pressing severe existential threat. Odd that Garnet looks irritated by it though. Just disappointment in Greg, or is she seeing a fight over it distracting Pink and Pearl?
