I love how neither of them have the gem while he speaks to her in the mindspace. I also love that White doesn't have a mouth. I just think it looks neat. It gives Queen of Mars vibes from the Loony Tunes. 😆

Im curious to see where this goes because im still not convinced that steven is talking to the real white. canon steven was never able to directly communicate with rose and i think that this situation is closer to the conversation in rose’s room than talking to the real white diamond.

I moreso favor the idea that White entered started the hybrid process thinking that she would be just be able to control it. That Steven would be just be her. This would make the most sense as even into Future White has an unhealthy relationship with control. To White, Pink was always weak of mind so obviously she couldn’t control Steven not ever considering the idea that Pink would willingly give her life and being to another. Inner White resists as much as an effective ghost can she hates this situation. As for why, I’m still betting on time travel enacted by someone who hated how things turned out. It’s the reason she went after Greg specifically because she knows Steven will collapse her perfect empire if he’s allowed to exist.

Little detail I noticed: white diamond doesn't seem to have the gem on her head, only Steven has it

Theory time, as White's understanding in canon was that Rose was still Pink so separated the gem to bring her back. So reasons why aside my theory is White didn't go through a gregnancy and did plant herself in a human baby with the full intention of it being a temporary arrangement
