I know we’ve called out Spotify a few times - but I’ve been looking into alternatives and they’re all just as bad! Soundcloud, they’re now partnered with an Israel company and the owner was in the IDF. Google owns YouTube. Tidal has investment from Blackrock and Vanguard. Are we going to have to just go back to discmans at this point?!

Only recently did I realize a lot of what is considered Holocaust denial is just a denial of someone else’s take on it, as far as who is or isn’t considered a victim. To that point, do we even have an agreed definition of who qualifies as a Holocaust victim? Or Holocaust survivor? Here’s a “fun” fact, only about 2/3 of Jewish victims died in the camps, so being a victim is not synonymous with a concentration camp, and in that case the number of victims balloons to around 11 million. And I don’t even know if that number includes captured Soviet territory like Belarus, as opposed to the more annexed parts of Western Europe. And at this point I don’t think Jews will agree on who can be considered a Holocaust victim or survivor.

I take this to mean we are now blaming Jews for every wrong thing white colonialists did. Well. As a white person living in Australia, I am fully aware of the CRIMES committed against the First Nations of Australia in founding the country. I'm fully aware of the racial inequality that exists. I'm fully aware I've benefited from these crimes and inequality. However, I do NOT blame Jews in Israel, or anywhere else, collectively for those crimes. That is one of the most ridiculous implications Eylon Levy has ever drawn. And that's saying something.

Its so insane to hear people recount the "youre endangering my kids" conversation that we all seem to have had, word for word. I cant help but believe that this is a specific hasbara line being fed to people. I lost two of my best friends via that exact wording.
