Fanbox Update

Pixiv put up a major announcement:

Now, it's still pretty vague what this means, so I'm not panicking. At this moment, I am unsure what I'll do with fanbox. I will continue to post like normal for the rest of the month when I have something to post. This apparently doesn't affect the main pixiv site, so I'll also post there like normal. Things were already bad here with the yen tanking and I was already planning in making new up to date tiers but might not have to lol

You guys don't have to do anything. If fanbox is kill, I'll likely just have to open up commissions again in the worst case scenerio. Not gonna stop the spice.

Sounds like the site has become too mainstream and the masses that make sites shitty, the update reads like credit card companies being retarded again, they had done this to patreon previously. Well ill follow to where ever we end up migrating to.

What i found online: "According to JP artist looking into this. Pixiv is citing Article 14.26 from the Term of Use which is IRL NSFW Content (Fictional stuff is article 7, which is not mentioned at all). So the main problem seem to be idiots selling/posting real, illegal stuff." - Maybe we are save?
We don't know the changes yet, but I'll likely leave fanbox up and make posts but won't upload videos or images anymore. We have to wait and see what the update it tho.

Yeah you'll still be able to post on Pixiv like usual (and Fanbox as long as it isn't behind a paywall, but that's the entire point of Fanbox ffs) What's changing is their ToS to say that you can no longer take or send payments for loli artwork through VISA/Mastercard (which i imagine is 99% of western users). Who even knows at this point though it's so fucking vague. Gonna need to read the new ToS when it drops in "late november"
It is... IIRC Pixiv was working on their own token or payment processor... but haven't heard about that in a while. smh

Those changes would affect a very large portion of PIXIV's creators. Kind of stupid to allow a credit card company to influence policy on fictional characters. This'll be like when Tumblr banned porn, and then those creators went to Twitter.
We shall see. I may just leave up the archive post and only make posts stating it's been updated with new stuff.

Subscribestar is sadly not a place i can follow. I bet there will be a way to keep fanbox, and if it's just a empty site were we get a password via PM and the previews, interactions and a folder link is on baraag, just a example.
Nah no worries. It doesn't hurt my wallet. Just curious why you all wouldn't put the information out there for free as to what's going on or where you might be moving to.
