That....that sounds like a nightmare. Seems like if you just want to pay admission and enjoy the park and rides you're kinda SOL.

Also not to put a wrench in your whole series but three weeks ago Disney changed the whole system and gave it a different name. FastPass is now called Lightning Lane and people who pay for a day of Lightning Lanes get what is called Genie+ which only allows you to get one FastPass at a time, but super busy rides you still have to pay $7-9 for Lightning Lane but you can do this in addition to free one or one with Genie+. Plus Ratatouille and I think maybe others have no Standby Line and only a Virtual Queue which is like Lightning Lane but you have to reserve starting at 7am or 1pm which fill up with it 1/2 hour of 7am or 1pm (you get tons of error messages when you try and have to redo till no error and you get lucky), plus there is a paid Lightning lane for those rides with virtual Queue.
